Leaflet – Recommendations for an inclusive partnership
How can we ensure that the future partnership of our food systems priositise health, safety, and taste while remaining sustainable? How can we guarantee that all voices are heard and all actors are considered? How can Research and Innovation shape effective solutions?
FOODPathS has addressed these questions and tried to reply to them: discover the recommendations we have formulated in this leaflet!
FOODPathS has been analysing the mechanisms and characteristics of inclusive sustainable food system ‘deals’, raging from public-private partnerships to global civil engagement programs to bottom-up stakeholder initiatives. Thanks to a desk-research and a series of interviews with the main actors of the food systems, FOODPathS identified critical issues related to un-safe and un-sustainable food systems, as well as successful best practices for food system transformation (including co-operations, voluntary agreements, and policies). As a result of this process, in November 2023, FOODPathS has published a report containing also a series of recommendations for the future Partnership Sustainable Food Systems, policy makers and actors of the food systems on the actions to be undertaken for a meaningful inclusion of all stakeholders. The main results are summarised in this leaflet.
