FAIRCHAIN final event will take place on November 14, at the Bruges Meeting & Convention Centre in Bruges, Belgium.

The programme will showcase the technological, organisational, and social innovations developed in FAIRCHAIN that offer solutions to tackle some of the issues and challenges that must be addressed to strengthen the position of small and mid-sized actors in existing food systems, to meet the need for sustainability transformation and to support the transition to competitive intermediate food value chains (IFVC).

The event includes:

  • A Plenary Session focusing on the outcomes from the six case-studies implemented in the project, in terms of co-creation processes, sustainability assessment and policy recommendations for the establishment of IFVCs. This session will be chaired by Geneviève Gésan-Guiziou (from INRAE), project coordinator, and will be held in the framework of the 2024 EFFoST Conference. (Only by registration.)
  • A Networking Forum providing all stakeholders (industry, food producers, policy makers, academics, and more) with an opportunity to engage with each other and the project partners and find out more about the FAIRCHAIN-demonstrated solutions to boost IFVC. The session includes the chance to explore the food products developed in the project as well. (Registration is free of charge for a limited number seats.)
